The consortium is committed to a robust validation strategy, ensuring that all post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) solutions are tested across a diverse range of critical digital infrastructures. Our approach bridges the gap between theoretical development and large-scale deployment through five targeted pilots, ranging from core authentication frameworks and PKI/TLS implementations to specialized eGovernment, cloud storage, and verification systems. These demonstrations are designed to validate the security, performance, and cross-platform interoperability of PQC protocols under real-world operational conditions, particularly within Linux-based environments and public-sector applications.
By utilizing iterative feedback loops across these distinct use cases, we will ensure that the project’s outputs are not only cryptographically resilient but also seamlessly integrable into existing legacy systems and modern cloud architectures. These pilots serve as a definitive proof-of-concept for the scalability of PQC, providing a clear evidence-based roadmap for the secure migration of Europe’s digital ecosystem toward a quantum-safe future.
